Cultural show

Students and families from the north-east will participate in a cultural show "Glory of North-east" that will be organised at Shikshak Bhavan at 4 p.m. on Sunday. It is being organised by "My Home India," a non-governmental organisation working for national solidarity with a special focus on the north-eastern States.

Tribute

In memory of those who have laid down their lives during the freedom struggle, a two-minute silence will be observed at 11 a.m. on January 30, according to a release from the Director General of Police and Commandant General Home Guards and Director, Civil Defence.

Silver jubilee

The Jayanagar 5th Block Residents Welfare Association has completed 25 years. To mark the occasion and bring together all residents of the area and strengthen the bonds, the managing committee of the association has organised a silver jubilee function on Sunday.
