Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited, has partnered with engineering colleges to roll out `Synergy', an initiative that works with academia to nurture the talent pool across the country. This enables a smooth transition from "Campus to Corporate." This announcement was made in the presence of Damodar Acharya, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Andy DiPaolo, Executive Director, Stanford Center for Professional Development, Stanford University, and Azim H. Premji, Chairman, Wipro Ltd. In a day-long educators meet organised at the Wipro campus, Prof. Damodar Acharya, Dr. Andy DiPaolo, Mr. Azim Premji, Vice- Chancellors from 10 Universities across India and about 100 academic management teams discussed and debated "Global trends in education and accelerated corporate readiness of engineering graduates." Wipro Plan Selvan D., Senior Vice-President- Talent Transformation, Wipro Technologies, said "Wipro is keen on grooming software engineers and prepare them for challenges in the corporate world. Synergy's programmes, `Fast Forward' and `Innovate', ensure that this talent pool is conscious of the importance of innovation in the IT field."
