VISAKHAPATNAM: Filing of nominations for the February 19 Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation election picked up momentum on Sunday, the second day, with 25 persons submitting papers. Two independents filed nomination on Saturday, the first day. Prominent among those who filed nomination on Sunday is former MLA T. Suryanarayana Reddy, popularly known as Surreddy. He filed his papers from Wards 10 and 11 on behalf of the Congress party. On Sunday, 11 filed papers on behalf of the Congress, nine (TDP), one (BJP) and four independents.
