Man found murdered

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A man was found dead with his head smashed near his workplace in the RMC Yard Police Station limits on Sunday.

The police gave his name as Shekhar (60), who used to load goods at a firm on Lorry Godown Street in the RMC Yard.

Though his family stayed in Krishnandanagar in Yeshwanthpur, he was reportedly staying elsewhere because of a property dispute.

The police suspected that he could have been murdered over the dispute. They have registered a case of murder. Investigation is on.

Robbed

Three persons posing themselves as policemen relieved a guard of Rs. 5,000 in cash in J.P. Nagar Police Station limits on Saturday.

The police said the three approached Ravi, guard of an apartment on Puttenahalli Main Road, around 12.30 a.m. in the guise of policemen saying that they wanted to check the premises. Later, they allegedly threatened Ravi with a knife and took away the cash from the security cabin, the police added.
