Haj pilgrim dies of heart attack

13 pilgrims from State died in this Haj season

HYDERABAD: A 68-year-old Haj pilgrim from the State, Shaik Mohammed Qasim, a resident of Lalapet, Guntur, died of heart attack in Madeenah-al-Munnawarah hours before boarding the last flight back home after performing Haj, the Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee said in a statement issued here on Sunday.

He had gone on the pilgrimage along with eight others. Minister for Minorities Welfare Mohammed Fareeduddin and others condoled the death. A total of 13 pilgrims of the State Haj Committee, including two women, died in this Haj season while one pilgrim from the city was reported missing from Makkah, the statement added.
