ELURU: Nirupa Rani, Vice-Chancellor of Adikavi Nannaiah University, on Monday observed that commercialisation of education was one of the main reasons for the dwindling human values among students. Speaking at a function in connection with the college day celebrations of St. Theresa's College for Women here, the Vice-Chancellor said: "Whatever morals preached on the college and university campuses, they were not yielding good results as there was a discrepancy between teaching and practice." She said both teachers and students were `partners' in such malady. She called for a blend of education with the synergy of intellect, humility, human values and spiritual aspect of human life. College Principal Thressia Cherian was in the chair.
