KOCHI:
A coconut-based expo, a trade fair and thematic seminars will be part of the five-day International Coconut Summit-2007 to be held here from May 7.
The summit is expected to be attended by nearly 200 delegates from major coconut-growing countries.
The summit, the second of its kind in the city, is being organised by the Swadeshi Nalikera Mission and the Peekay Tree Crops Development Foundation, said a press release here. The first summit was organised in 2003. Delegates from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India will attend the event. SThe seminars have been organised in seven sessions in which 28 technical papers will be presented.
