Board posts allocated to 17 BJP legislators and 19 workers

    BANGALORE: President of the Bharatiya Janata Party State unit D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who had announced two lists of names of legislators and party workers for the posts of chairmen of boards and corporations, on Tuesday "allocated" them to 17 legislators and 19 party workers.

    Former MLA B.B. Shivappa has been given the post of chairman of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Pramila Nesargi, another former MLA, has been made the chairperson of the Karnataka State Women Commission.

    The chairmanships of two state road transport corporations at Gulbarga and Hubli have been assigned to Subhash Kallur and Ashok Katve, former MLAs, respectively.


    Among the MLAs, Rajendra Varma of Hulasoor has got the Karnataka Slum Clearance Board, Araga Jnanendra, the Karnataka Land Army Corporation, Shankarlinge Gowda, the Mysore Sales International, and N. Yogeesh Bhat, the Karnataka State Industrial Investment and Development Corporation.

    Other legislators

    The other legislators who have been made chairmen are Chandrasekhar Patil Revoor Irrigation Project Zone, Gulbarga; Sunil Vallyapure (Shahabad) Karnataka Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation; Doddanagouda (Kushtagi) Karnataka Sheep and Woollen Development Corporation; Renukacharya (Honnali) KEONICS: Venkatamunyappa (Bethamangala) Karnataka Silk Marketing Board; P.C. Mohan (Chickpet) Mysore Paper Mills; Shakuntala Shetty (Puttur) Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation; Nehru Olekar (Byadagi) Karnataka State Notified Castes and Notified Tribals Commission; C.C. Patil (Nargund) Karnataka Small Industries Development Corporation; Veeranna Charantimath (Bagalkot) Bagalkot Urban Development Authority; and G. Veerappa (Kanakagiri) Karnataka State Agro Corn Products.
