Orient Paper returns to dividend list

KOLKATA: Orient Paper, a GP-CK Birla group company, has reported a jump in its turnover to Rs. 270 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, from Rs. 206 crore in the same period in the previous year. The net profit shot up to Rs. 36.55 crore from Rs. 5.68 crore. For the nine months ended December 2006, the net profit was Rs. 82 crore (Rs. 11.50 crore). The directors have decided to declare an interim dividend of 40 per cent for 2006-07, bringing the company back to the dividend list after seven years.
