KURNOOL: Residents of two colonies entered into an argument over a piece of land in Ganesh Nagar of the city on Tuesday leading to mild tension. The police intervened and convinced both the groups to verify the records before staking a claim. A piece of land measuring nine cents is the bone of contention between Ganesh Nagar and Revenue Colony residents. The residents of Ganesh Nagar installed the statue of Lord Ganesh on the land claiming it to be an open area meant for community purpose.Meanwhile, activists of VHP, ABVP and other Hindu organisations entered the scene and placed flags, buntings and banners at the site.
