TIRUPATI: The visit of Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy, to the district has raised several questions on his entry into active politics. The rousing reception given to Jagan in Tirupati, Srikalahasti and Piler towns is indicative of an overall acceptance among the party workers and enthusiasts, especially the younger lot, over his entry into politics, according to political pundits. Beyond the arrangements made in the form of erecting larger-than-life size banners and crowd mobilisation, what surprises one was the unprecedented unity exhibited by the youth leaders in making the roadshows a great success. Now, the party circle is rife with rumours that instead of plunging into politics from his native Kadapa district, Jagan may prefer taking an `active role' in Chittoor, the homesoil of TDP supremo N.Chandrababu Naidu. Especially, the Congress is expected to project the `rising son' in the western constituencies of Piler, Punganur, Vayalpad, Madanapalle and Thamballapalle, which according to the ongoing preliminary phase of the delimitation exercise, may become part of the Rajampet (Kadapa) Parliamentary constituency, where the YSR family has a considerable hold. While efforts are on to strengthen the party's base in the VVIP constituency of Kuppam, represented by Mr.Chandrababu Naidu, Congress sources indicate that Jagan may be roped in to attract the neutral youth.
