YSR's pep talk for officials

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday asked municipal officials to learn from the experiences of others in making the urban centres citizen-friendly.

Discussing the arrangements for the first conference on networking of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission cities to launch the Peer Experience and Reflective Learning programme, beginning here on Wednesday, he said identification of priority areas was key to development.

Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam would benefit by the path-breaking initiative soon, he noted.

The cities must engage all stakeholders to put systems and processes in place.
