HYDERABAD: Glowing tributes were paid to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 59th death anniversary here on Tuesday by Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and others at Bapughat. Staff of the Government Music College rendered bhajans. All-religion prayers were also conducted. Information Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir; Mines Minister P. Sabita Reddy; MP Anjan Kumar Yadav; Collector R. V. Chandravadan; State Tourism Corporation Chairman T.K. Dewan and Managing Director Raymond Peter were among those present. APCC president K. Keshava Rao and Dr. Reddy paid floral tributes to the portrait of Gandhiji at Gandhi Bhavan. They also garlanded the statue of the Mahatma in the Legislative Assembly building. Ministers J. C. Diwakar Reddy and Botcha Satyanarayana, Adviser to Government K.V. P. Ramachandra Rao, former Union Minister P. Upendra, D. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, MLA, PCC leaders C. V. Sesha Reddy, A. Chakrapani, K. Satyanarayana Goud and others were present.
