HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers' Association (APREDA) has built a colony of 50 houses in Prakasam district for the tsunami victims. These houses would be handed over to the beneficiaries in the third week of February. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in a symbolic unveiling function held at his camp office, inaugurated the colony on Tuesday. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, member of the association's advisory committee M.Murali Mohan said, the units were built at a cost of Rs.40 lakhs on a two-acre site for the victims of the natural calamity. The land site was donated by S.Adi Reddy and Parvatamma. The units were built in 240 days at Binginapally of Singarayakonda mandal and the local administration and public representatives were in the process of identifying the beneficiaries. APREDA president P.S.Reddy said, the 175-member association, through this initiative, tried to extend a helping hand to the tsunami victims which was appreciated by the Chief Minister.
