BANGALORE: Sai Karthik of Tamil Nadu scalped the fourth seed S. Raghavendra 6-3, 6-4 in the second round of the boys' under-14 singles in the Polyflex AITA National Series (under-14 and 16) junior tennis championship at the KIMS courts here on Tuesday.

The top seed, Mohit Mayur of Tamil Nadu struggled to overcome the local challenger, Vinod Gowda with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 victory. In the under-16 singles, the top seed Kaza Vinayak prevailed over Tushal Tawani of Maharashtra 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
