Bangalore: Defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited will display several of its products for the export market at the forthcoming Aero India 2007. These include communication equipment, command and control systems, radars and sonars, optoelectronics, thermal imaging products, electronic warfare systems, tank electronics and solar powered systems. At Aero India 2007, BEL will display products with good export potential, the company said. The communication equipment apart, there will be demonstrations of "build-to-print" and "build-to-spec" solutions for foreign manufacturers seeking Indian partners to meet their offset requirements. Some of BEL's facilities such as electronic and mechanical assembly, vacuum brazing and dip brazing will be highlighted. The command and control systems for armed forces will include artillery combat command control system, battlefield surveillance systems, battlefield management system, integrated air command control system, composite communication system, intelligent message terminal and rugged simputers. In addition to indoor displays, BEL will have an outdoor display of some its larger products. For the first time, BEL will offer for sale some products such as the solar lantern, set top box for free to air channels and memory stick at its outdoor display area. Users can buy them at a 10 per cent discount, BEL said.
