Agitators held, released

CHENNAI : Members of the Indian National League (Youth Wing, Kerala) were arrested and later, released here on Tuesday.

Police said that about 90 members led by Mohammed Siraj Ibrahim Sait took part in the demonstration near the Thousand Lights area in protest against the imperialistic attitude of the U.S. They also shouted slogans.

After about 15 minutes, they were arrested and detained in a private kalyana mandapam.

However, in the evening, they were released.
