Oil conservation fortnight ends

The valedictory of oil conservation fortnight conducted at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant concluded here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, in charge Executive Director (works) P.V.S. Prasada Rao appreciated the efforts of VSP Collective in achieving least specific lube consumption of 0.35 kg per tonne of crude steel.

Executive Director (maintenance) C.V.S. Rao, General Manager R.N. Singh, Deputy General Manager T.L. Nanda and others spoke.

Eco education

A talk on environmental education was organised at Visakha Government Degree College for Women on Tuesday. S. Rama Krishna Rao from the Department of Civil Engineering of Andhra University said that protecting the environment was the duty of everyone, he said. B. Vijaya Kumar, curator of Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, spoke. College principal B.V. Appala Naidu presided.
