Gold, cash stolen

MANGALORE: Two incidents of thefts have been reported in the district.Culprits gained entry into the house Sirajul Haq, a resident of Salmara in Puttur taluk, by breaking open the front door lock, and decamped with gold ornaments and cash all worth about Rs. 3 lakh. The incident took place between Saturday and Monday.

In the second incident, culprits gained entry into the house of Shankar K. Suvarna, a resident of Kavoor in Mangalore, by removing the roof tiles, and took away gold ornaments worth about Rs. 9,000.
