MC Road work to resume

KOTTAYAM: Work on MC Road, stalled by confusions in the Kerala State Transport Project, will begin within 10 days, Public Works Minister T.U. Kuruvilla said here on Tuesday.

The Rs.44-lakh surfacing work would be divided among six contractors and funding found from the main contractor whose inefficiency had caused the imbroglio. Surfacing of the Adoor-Thiruvananthapuram stretch would be taken up. He said the officials were asked to start the work two weeks ago, but they did not. Action would be taken against the guilty.
