Ritwik, Joshna are champions

MUMBAI: India's highest-ranked professional and top-seeded Ritwik Bhattacharya took the men's title and Rs. 1 lakh with a hard-earned 12-10, 11-9, 11-7 win over Pakistan's Atlas Khan, seeded second, in the ISP Platinum All-India Squash Carnival, organised by Indian Squash Professionals, here on Wednesday.

Women's squash ace Joshna Chinappa of Tamil Nadu won the women's title and pocketed Rs. 50,000 beating Statemate Dipika Pallikal 11-5, 11-8, 11-9.

Tamil Nadu's Cyril Kuhn survived tense moments against Laxman Joshi of Jindal Squash Academy before fighting back for a 7-11, 11-5, 13-11, 6-11, 12-11 in the boys' under-17 final. Mumbai boy Vikram Malhotra ended Delhi's Sohail Kapoor's run in the title clash.
