NEW DELHI: Welterweight Manish's power and confidence behind his left punch nailed Bashar Rahim of Iraq to make the final, in the 10th YMCA international boxing championship here on Wednesday.

Manish's left-handed punches in the first round rattled the Iraqi no end as the former took 12-0 lead. It was only a matter of time before Manish wrapped up the bout in the third round when the referee stopped the contest.

In the heavyweight class, Turkmenistan's Nurchiyen knocked-out Iraq's Mastafa to enter the final. The best bout of the day saw India-A's Amarjeet beat Barinder 35-23 in the middleweight section.
