Conference to focus on environment engineering

Minister to inaugurate the meet

KOLLAM: The TKM College of Engineering will organise a three-day national conference on civil engineering.

Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran will inaugurate the conference, FACE (Focussing on Advances in Civil Engineering), on February 1.

The function will be presided over by president of the TKM College Trust Shahal Hassan Musaliar.

Scientist from the Centre for Environmental Development K. Divakaran Nambudiripad will deliver the keynote address.

The technical session will focus on themes such as `Environment engineering and water resources engineering: planning and management,' `structural engineering' and `geo-technical and transportation engineering.' A paper presentation contest will be organised for the students.

District Collector K. Ajayakumar will inaugurate the valedictory function.

Deputy Chief Engineer of Public Works Department (Quality Control and Vigilance) S. Madhu will deliver a talk. Principal M.C. Philipose will preside over the valedictory function.
