LPSC gets new director

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: M.K. Gopinathan Nair took charge as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) here on Wednesday. It followed the retirement of R.V. Perumal. A mechanical engineering graduate from the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, he has put in 37 years of service in various capacities in ISRO. He was instrumental in the development of Precision Fluid Control Components and modules for launch vehicles and satellites, liquid engines and stages for PSLV and GSLV and is currently engaged in the development of the cryo stage.
