Letters to the Editor
Sidney Sheldon's novels were a treat to fiction lovers. His stories were woven around strong women characters and, more importantly, protagonists who fought against odds to emerge victorious. His demise marks the end of a glorious chapter in American fiction writing. He will remain etched in our memory and his books will fondly remind us of him.
Siddarth K. Raj,
The world has lost an unparalleled novelist. Given the strong female protagonists he created in his novels, he could easily have been termed a women's lib activist. The manner in which he portrayed their feelings, aspirations, dreams, and innate strength was a feat, which even women writers could not have boasted of.
The news of the death of the world's favourite storyteller and thriller master of a generation is a sad one to millions of his fans all over the world. His novels, If Tomorrow Comes, Rage of Angels, and The Sands of Time, are great pieces of work.
Though there are many English novelists, it is difficult to fill the vacuum created by Sidney Sheldon's death.
S. Nallasivan,
The way he created his characters and weaved his plots with crisp and gripping episodes, sustaining the suspense was amazing.
Simple language and impressive expressions were his trademark. The world of fiction has lost the Master of the Game.
S. Srimoolanathan,
