KANNUR: The Kannur University Syndicate decided to bestow Rs. 5,000 each to the university volleyball women's team that had won the all India inter-university volleyball women's tournament held in Kottayam. The Syndicate meeting here on Thursday congratulated the volleyball team, its manager and coach. Prize winners among the university's athletic team would also be sanctioned Rs.5,000 each. The athletic team had won third place in the all India inter-university athletic meet held in Bangalore. Vice-Chancellor P. Chandramohan presided over the function.
