`No evidence about Imran's involvement in IISc. attack'

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The police have so far not found any evidence to corroborate the involvement of suspected terrorist Imran Jalal in the attack on the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on December 28, 2005, Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao has said.

Referring to the investigations, he told presspersons here on Thursday that there were loose ends in the statements made by Imran and during the narco analysis. "However, I do not rule out his complicity," he said.

Investigations have established that Imran had contacts with the Lashkar-e-Taiba and had interacted with several members of the organisation in Pakistan.
