Nepal forms talks team

KATHAMNDU: The Government of Nepal has formed a three-member team to start dialogue with the agitating Terai and other groups in the southern plains.

The team is led by Agriculture Minister Mahanta Thakur, who himself is an ethnic Madhesi. The other members are Minister for Local Development Rajendra Pandey and State Minister for Water Resource Gyanendra Bahadur Karki. The team will begin its work on Saturday.
