Congratulations

Heartiest congratulations to Ratan Tata and his team on acquiring the Anglo-Dutch steel firm Corus after tremendous perseverance and determination. The Tatas have made India proud. The takeover has amply proved that as a nation, we are galloping forward with lightening speed. A good shoot-out, well worth it!

Their attitude towards all, be it the government, customers or suppliers, has always been one of transparency and professionalism. This, combined with their courage of conviction on key issues, is their hallmark, which has contributed to their success story.

The deal sends a signal to the world about the growing might of Indian corporates and their lofty plans envisaging a pan-global presence. Bold initiatives such as the Corus acquisition will certainly transform India into a great economic power — the dream of the visionary Jamsetji Tata.
