VISAKHAPATNAM: The second edition of the Rs. 2.5 lakh prize money CMR-All India Seniors Tennis Association (AISTA) National ranking tournament will be held here from February 5 to 10. The AITA National Ranking Talent Series (for boys and girls) will simultaneously be held alongside the veterans' tournament. The success of the first tournament has generated good interest among the players and the number of entries has crossed 260 this year, with 200 of them from outside the host State. The competitions would be held in above-45, 55 and 65 age-categories in singles and doubles. Among the prominent players participating are R.I. Singh, former international Narendra Nath who coached Sania Mirza Madhav Ghate, V. Rammohan Rao, S. Parekh, V. Chirajneevi Rao, Yohesh Shaw, K.R. Raman, V.T. Ranganath, S. Sethu and former Minister of Nepal Madhu Rana. The Talent Series attracted nearly 200 players. As many as 24 medals would be awarded in the junior section. The players will also receive AITA ranking points. The matches will be held at the Officers Club, Andhra University Faculty Club, Waltair Club and Century Club.
