LUCKNOW : Circle Officer of Noida police station Dinesh Yadav was on Friday transferred to Agra. This follows an expose in a news magazine of his political connections and alleged proximity to Moninder Singh Pandher, main accused in the Nithari case. He was in charge of the investigations in the Nithari case. The sting operation conducted by the magazine indicated that the official was close to senior Samajwadi Party leaders. It was reported that Mr. Yadav rang up U.P. Public Works Department and Energy Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav. The calls were made before the visit of the PWD Minister to Nithari, where he reportedly described the serial killings as a "small and routine incident."
