Excise facility withdrawn for 3 cos.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Excise and Customs, in accordance with the deterrent provisions introduced in December last, has withdrawn the facility of payment of excise duty on a monthly basis as also the utilisation of Cenvat credit from three firms — Shriram Tubes, Taha Wire and Nissan Copper — for evading payment of Rs. 10 crore as duty.
