ALAPPUZHA: Swami Gauthamananda, chief of Sree Ramakrishna Ashramam, Chennai, will inaugurate the newly constructed computer study centre and new block of the tribal hostel of Sree Ramakrishna Ashramam, Kayamkulam, at a function there on Sunday, chief of the Kayamkulam Ashramam Swami Kaivalyananda has said. He was speaking at a press conference here. Sivagiri Dharmasanghom Trust president and Sivagiri Math chief Swami Prakasananda would preside, he said. Swami Veethabhayananda, president of Sree Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor, Karnataka, would deliver the keynote address. Kris Gopalakrishnan, chief operating officer, Infosys; T.P Sreenivasan, the former Indian Ambassador to the United States; Gokulam Gopalan, managing director, Sree Gokulam Chit and Finance Company Pvt. Ltd; A. Jayanta Kumar, chairman, JAAS group, Dubai, and Swami Sakrananda of Sree Ramakrishna Math, Thiruvananthapuram, would offer felicitations. Swami Kaivalyananda said the estimated cost of construction of the computer study centre and the new block of the hostel was around Rs.70 lakh. Already 70 tribal students and 30 financially backward students were staying at the hostel of the ashramam and pursuing their studies, he said.
