JD(S)-BJP meet

postponed

BANGALORE: A meeting of the Janata Dal (S) and BJP legislators was postponed following Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy's inability to attend it. Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa convened meeting of the legislators of the ruling parties at the conference hall of the Vidhana Soudha on Friday. The Chief Minister did not turn up to the meeting because of other official assignment. Later, Mr. Yediyurappa announced that the meeting would be held next week. — Special Correspondent

to open meet

Belgaum: Chief Minister H.D. Kumarswamy is likely to inaugurate the Vishwa Kannada Sammelana procession on the first day of the meet scheduled to be held from February 23 to 25.

Speaking to presspersons soon after reviewing the ongoing arrangements for the procession, Minister for Social Welfare and Chairman of the Procession Committee Balachandar Jarkiholi said the Chief Minister was likely to inaugurate the procession in the morning and remain for all the three days of the celebrations in the city.

Commander, District Home Guards, Raichur; M.N.Y. Heggade, Instructor, District Home Guards, Hassan; and A.N. Momin, Instructor, Home Guards and Civil Defence Academy, Bangalore.
