Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mandaveli, will launch the primary section from the coming academic year. Principal Sylvia Reginald announced this at the school's decennial annual day celebrations on Friday.

Among the other incentives to students is full scholarship for students of class X and XII, who are recognised as sportspersons at State or national level. School toppers in class X with over 1,000 marks under the matriculation system will receive scholarship to study up to class XII.

These incentives were announced by R. Kishore Kumar, dean of St. John's group of schools.

The school has sent in the past several years its students to national and state-level sport meets. Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, Minister for Information, gave away prizes to school toppers and to sportspersons.
