NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday once again demanded that the Mulayam Singh Yadav Government be dismissed and President's rule imposed in Uttar Pradesh. Party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad referred to the sting operation by a private television channel, which claimed it had established a "nexus" between the circle officer of the Noida police station Dinesh Yadav, who was transferred out of Nithari, and the Chief Minister's brother Shivpal Singh Yadav, who is a minister. Apparently they made several phone calls to each other.
CBI must probe Shivpal Yadav's role
Describing the Nithari killings as the most horrible criminal case, Mr. Prasad said it seemed there was a nexus between the police and the "highest levels" of the State Government. "Shivpal Singh Yadav's role must be investigated by the CBI."
