HYDERABAD: The EAMCET paper this year will be based on the latest syllabus of the Intermediate course, according to the EAMCET-2007 Chairman and JNTU Vice-Chancellor K. Rajagopal. He said the syllabus was changed to some extent in 2005-06 academic year and the committee will follow it. He, however, said that modifications were not major and the latest syllabus is being followed to take care of fresh students. He said subject experts had a three-day exercise recently to finalise the syllabus. EAMCET-2007 Convenor E. Saibaba Reddy said books prescribed for Intermediate education by the Telugu Akademi would be followed but paper setters will have the necessary freedom.
OMR sheet
Prof. Rajagopal said a major change in the EAMCET this year is the committee's decision to print the name, photograph and hall-ticket of the candidates on the OMR sheets. This is done as students sometimes are entering wrong numbers on the OMR sheet due to confusion. The application form has also been simplified and students need not send any certificates along with the form.
