Police seek ACP's suspension

NEW DELHI: The Delhi police have sent a recommendation to the State Home Department for suspension of Assistant Commissioner of Police R.K. Bansal, against whom and his subordinate the Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case charging them with demanding and receiving a bribe from a businessman.

The CBI on Wednesday arrested S-I Jagdish while he was allegedly receiving Rs.1.5 lakh as bribe at the instance of ACP Anti-Extortion and Robbery Cell R. K. Bansal. While a Delhi court has issued a NBW against Dr. Bansal, the Delhi police on Friday furnished the details about him to the Home Department.
