Jairaj's directive to officials

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: BBMP Commissioner K. Jairaj on Friday instructed all zonal joint commissioners to ensure that all lakes, water bodies, open fields and other such public property coming under the newly formed zones were not encroached upon.

He directed the officials to conduct a survey of such government-owned property, erect fences around them and display appropriate signboards. There are many lakes, water bodies, grasslands, burial grounds and other public open spaces in the five newly formed zones under the BBMP.
