Southern Empire hard to down

Mumbai: The S. Ganapathy-trained Southern Empire, unbeaten in his ten starts, will be hard to down in the eight runner field for the McDowell Indian Derby (2,400m), the blue riband of the nine event card framed for the races to be held here on Sunday (Feb. 4). There will be no false rails. An amount of Rs. 10,00,000 will be added to the Second Combined Jackpot Pool. Another amount of Rs. 7,00,000 will be added to the Super Jackpot pool.
