Increased production from RSP

BHUBANESWAR : The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Saturday claimed to have bettered hot metal production during the first 10 months of this fiscal compared to corresponding period last year.

Surpasses previous best

The RSP surpassed the previous best annual production in the major areas of sinter (2.6 million tonnes), hot metal (1.8 million tonnes), crude steel (1.68 million tonnes), total saleable steel (1.64 million tonnes) and steel despatches (1.62 million tonnes), a company release said here.
