Ashok takes title

DIGBOI: Ashok Kumar fired a timely four-under 68 to win the Rs. 20 lakhs Indian Oil Xtra Premium Masters golf championship by a six-stroke margin here on Saturday.

Ashok's fourth straight sub-par round took his aggregate to 274 and earned him the winner's cheque of Rs. 3.24 lakhs.

The professional from Delhi shot seven birdies, a double-bogey and a bogey to win his 11th title on the domestic tour.

Vikrant Chopra and Shamim Khan shared the second spot with a tally of 280.
