NDPL wins award for promoting Bhagidari

NEW DELHI: North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) was awarded the Bhagidari Award for "Outstanding Work in Promoting Bhagidari Initiative" by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit here on Saturday.

Responding to the honour, NDPL Managing Director Anil Sardana said: "The award is a reflection of our commitment towards all our consumers. Our endeavour has always been to not only provide them with world class services and facilities, but also to understand their grievances and problem areas and resolve them at the earliest.''

He claimed that the company had undertaken several consumer service and welfare initiatives in the past and to promote Bhagidari in its distribution area had constituted a `Citizen Group'for direct and regular interactions with all the Residents' Welfare Associations and Market Trade Associations.

The company officials said it was also working towards raising awareness and promoting energy conservation practices.
