NEW DELHI: A youth, accused along with three others of committing rape of a class XII student in a moving car here, was on Saturday denied bail by a Delhi court. ``The offence being grave and serious, my judicial conscience does not allow me to grant bail even for a temporary period to the applicant Devender Singh,'' Additional Sessions Judge Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal said, dismissing his bail application. ``There are also allegations that during the investigation, the applicant tried to tamper with the evidence. The conduct of applicant does not entitle him for release on bail even for an interim period at this stage,'' the court added. Singh and three others Varun Populi, Varun Sehgal and Kunal Kapoor were arrested after the registration of an FIR invoking Sections 363 (kidnapping), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC with Hari Nagar police station on December 27 last year. The complainant, a class XII student of Hari Nagar, alleged that they had ravished her after dragging her in a car while returning from a coaching centre.- PTI
