KARIMNAGAR: The Andhra Pradesh LPG (cooking gas) Dealer's Association has urged the district administration to launch a special drive against the illegal usage of subsidised LPG cylinders by commercial establishments such as hotels, restaurants, residential schoolsetc. In a press note here on Saturday, association State vice-president P.V. Madan Mohan urged the administration to check the illegal usage by conducting raids and distributing commercial cylinders of 19 kgs.
Deepam connections
Alleging that the Deepam connection cylinders were being illegally used in vehicles, he suggested the revenue authorities to conduct a survey over the utilisation of LPG cylinders by the scheme beneficiaries. Refuting the charges that the dealers were selling the cylinders in black market at Rs. 450 per cylinder, he urged the consumers to pay Rs. 304.15 paise to Rs 307. For the effective usage of LPG cylinder, he urged upon the consumers to purchase guaranteed `Suraksha' rubber tube from the dealers to prevent accidents.
