CHENNAI: Materials worth Rs.10 lakh, including sports kits, band equipment and books, were presented to 20 police boys clubs and seven girls clubs at a function held here recently.

Chennai Police Commissioner Letika Saran handed over the materials donated by Arumbu - Child Development Project of Aide et Action - India. Currently, AeA provides educational support to children through its intervention in many districts. Through the Arumbu project, they have strengthened 78 boys clubs started by the Chennai police and ensured that around 10,000 children and youth from slums were given sustainable opportunities for their learning and development.
