BSNL announces scheme

CHENNAI:
BSNL, Chennai Telephones, has announced a limited period scheme for fixed landline phones.
The `Panchavarna' scheme features benefits amounting to Rs.1,000 in the form of a waiver of Rs.500 installation charges, free talk-time of Rs.200 spread over two months from the second month onwards, one Sancharnet card worth Rs.150 (25 hours Internet package), one Excel Power SIM card worth Rs.100 and an India Telephone Card worth Rs.50.
Customers can take a new connection at any Customer Service Centre or franchisee outlet of Chennai Telephones by paying an initial of Rs.250 and the balance phased over five instalments of Rs.150 each along with the monthly bill.
