Anti-piracy raid

Thiruvananthapuram: The Crime Branch on Saturday raided a video rental shop in Kumarapuram and confiscated 200 Digital Video Discs (DVDs) suspected to be ones without copyright. The Medical College police have registered a case of violation of the Copyright Act in connection with the seizure. — Staff Reporter

Van driver held

Thiruvananthapuram: The Traffic police on Friday arrested the driver of a school van on the charge of drunken driving and overspeeding. According to the police, two children in the van sustained minor injuries when the van dashed against several cars on the Kesvadasapauram-Pattom route. — Staff Reporter
