KANNUR: Paintings, carpets, fabrics, silk saris, bags, ornaments and idols are among the handicrafts products that are drawing large number of people to the all India handicrafts fair being held here. All India Crafts Bazaar, as the handicrafts fair being organised here by the Kerala State Handicrafts Apex Co-operative Society (Surabhi) is christened, has on display items that show handicrafts culture across the country. Handicrafts products displayed and sold have been arranged in 60 stalls. They include handicrafts items, handloom fabrics and jewellery from the State and different parts of the country. They show the modern and traditional skills of craftsmen. Society president P.M. Ahamed Kannu said Surabhi had 103 primary societies marketing handicrafts products made by nearly 30,000 craftsmen in the State.
