Buds Public School at Aalungal in Pulikkal celebrated its ninth anniversary will colourful programmes by its pupils on Saturday. The function was attended by parents besides the children. Moyutty Moulavi, president, Pulikkal grama panchayat, applauded the efforts of the school management to keep up a high standard in the English medium school and pointed out that the presence of the school in the backward region was an eloquent indicator of the intentions of a socially-responsible group of local people to strive for educational development of the region. School committee president Moosa, Principal Sathar, and representatives Viswanthan Nair, Rajendran Nair, and parent's representative Hamid Ali spoke.
